Happy Friday!

This week has been extremely busy for us. Our field trip on Wednesday was a huge success and we were able to observe several track stories in the snow (one positive for the snow!).

We were lucky to have Green Calgary present on Tuesday to support our learning on water and how to utilize this precious resource in a more effective manner.

A parent artist also joined our class on Tuesday afternoon. She spoke about her personal art work, her process and took the students through several painting activities. You will get the chance to see their canvas work next week during parent/teacher conferences.

Friday morning we also welcomed students in Grade 7 from RTA. They shared with us their own Choose Your Own Adventure stories. It was a wonderful way for the students to connect.

Students are beginning their work on the 6 Natural Regions of Alberta. The students have been collecting data from a textbook source and through the website Zooming in Alberta.

Check out the website - https://www.learnalberta.ca/content/sszi/en/index.html

Please be sure to dress appropriately for the field study on Wednesday. We will be outside the majority of the day so dress warm.

Just a reminder that we have our Green Calgary Presentation tomorrow.

This week's focus is on honouring those who fought for our freedom and peace. We will be working on poetry and art focusing on this day of respect and honour.

Our Remembrance Day Assembly will take place on Thursday at 10;00am.

Last week we were comparing various types of bat wing spans to ourselves. Through this task, the students were working on measurement and converting from one unit to another.

The Fish Creek field trip forms went home last week. Please check your child's backpack for these forms.
